Experience the rejuvenating power of our infrared sauna, designed for effective detoxification. Our infrared sauna utilizes advanced infrared technology, known for its therapeutic benefits, commonly referred to as ‘deep level therapy’ or ‘infrared therapy’. The infrared waves penetrate your body directly, promoting a deeper, detoxifying sweat at a more comfortable temperature compared to traditional saunas. Only infrared waves between 5,600 and 8,000 nanometres deliver real therapeutic effects, and our Tecoloy® infrared heaters generate a proven range of 6,340 nanometres. At this wavelength, infrared light sets microscopic water molecules in motion, generating heat. This enhances blood circulation and encourages blood flow to every cell, initiating the healing effects of infrared therapy, which can soothe muscle and joint soreness, boost the immune system, and aid in cellular renewal. While the growing body of evidence supporting the health benefits of infrared saunas is promising, it’s important for individuals with underlying health conditions to consult healthcare professionals before starting sauna sessions. What distinguishes a traditional sauna from an infrared sauna? Unlike traditional saunas that heat the surrounding air, infrared saunas use infrared lamps to warm your body’s core temperatures directly. Operating at lower temperatures (usually between 40˚C and 60˚C), infrared saunas provide a more tolerable environment than traditional saunas, which typically range from 90˚C to 105˚C. Enthusiasts of infrared saunas claim that the heat penetrates deeper than the heated air of conventional saunas, allowing for a more intense sweat at lower temperatures. This more comfortable setting enables users to remain in the sauna longer while effectively increasing their core body temperature.

Skin Health. During an infrared sauna session, impurities are flushed out, reducing blemishes, while the stimulation of collagen and elastin has been shown to improve skin tone, even out pigmentation and reduce wrinkles. This stimulation of collagen and elastin in the dermis also reduces the appearance of scars. For anyone dealing with skin problems such as acne, chronic dermatitis, psoriasis, or eczema, infrared therapy through saunas offers a wonderful way to heal and detoxify the skin, promoting clearer skin and pores. Mood. Whether or not you have a mental health condition, using a detoxification sauna can be a great mood booster. Research shows that whole-body heating stimulates the brain to produce serotonin and has had a marked effect on depression even six weeks after treatment. There are early signs it can also help with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which has recently been associated with Long Covid. Detoxification is the body’s natural process of eliminating toxins, primarily managed by the liver and kidneys. Infrared saunas support this detoxification process by promoting circulation, sweating, and relaxation, helping to flush impurities while enhancing overall health, energy levels, and skin clarity. Relaxation. The gentle heat of infrared saunas encourages relaxation by reducing cortisol levels and promoting a sense of calm. While saunas can help alleviate stress and tension, consistent mindfulness practices, exercise, and lifestyle adjustments remain key to managing anxiety effectively. Circulation. Infrared heat promotes vasodilation, increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscles and tissues. This may support recovery, reduce muscle soreness, and enhance overall cardiovascular function. While beneficial, a combination of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle is essential for optimal circulation. Immune System. By improving circulation, infrared saunas help immune cells move efficiently throughout the body, aiding in pathogen detection and response. While saunas are not a direct immune booster, they may support overall immune function by promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Relief of joint pains and sore muscles. Infrared heat penetrates deep into muscles and joints, promoting relaxation and reducing stiffness. Increased blood flow may help alleviate discomfort from conditions like arthritis or muscle soreness. While not a cure, regular sauna use can complement other pain management strategies. Lowered Blood Pressure. Regular infrared sauna use may contribute to improved cardiovascular health by promoting vasodilation, which can help lower blood pressure. While beneficial, sauna sessions should complement a healthy lifestyle, including diet and exercise, for optimal heart health rather than serving as a primary treatment. Sleep Quality. Infrared saunas may aid sleep by promoting relaxation, reducing muscle tension, and helping to regulate body temperature. While beneficial for unwinding before bed, remember that sleep hygiene practices, such as limiting screen time and maintaining a consistent schedule, are also essential for long-term sleep quality.

Think healing heat, mood lighting, chill out music, white fluffy towels, Aveda chakra sprays, and ice-cold face flannels for afterwards in our beautiful hot yoga studio. Enjoy your own private session in the yoga space before or after your yoga practice, or share the experience with a friend. How long? An infrared sauna session should last for 30 minutes, ensuring that you always feel comfortable and relaxed. If you're not feeling at ease, simply lower the temperature using the digital controls or open the door to let in some cool air. How often? Infrared saunas are a vital part of a wellness regimen and can serve as an all-encompassing program for enhanced health, well-being, and reduced symptoms. We recommend starting with a consecutive series of three sessions in our detoxification sauna to jumpstart your body’s detoxification process and to absorb the benefits of infrared therapy. Consistency is key; just like exercise, the more you sauna, the more benefits you'll experience. With continued practice, you'll notice that you sweat sooner, faster, and deeper. Using our infrared sauna two to three times a week is sufficient to reap all the associated health benefits. For the first four weeks, limit your sessions to a maximum of three times per week. From the fifth week onward, feel free to increase the number of sessions, even to daily if desired. What to wear? For an optimal infrared sauna experience, wear minimal, loose-fitting, and breathable clothing such as a cotton swimsuit, shorts, or a tank top to allow maximum skin exposure to the infrared heat for better detoxification. Going nude with a towel is ideal, but light cotton clothing or a cotton wrap is a comfortable alternative.
